The Aboriginal Mining Preparation Program has been designed to provide students with an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to be able to integrate into a Mining Camp setting for employment.
This 12 week program will provide students with hands-on training and experience.
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PROVIDED TRAINING IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Personal Career Portfolio Development (Resumes, Cover Letters, Job Search)
- Food Safe
- ENFORM Level 1 Chainsaw Safety
- WHMIS
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- Bear Aware
- HS2 Alive
- S-100 Fire Suppression
- Industrial Safety Awareness
- Occupational First Aid Level 1
- Transportation Endorsement
- Industrial First Aid Level 3
- Forklift Operator Certification

- Recent official transcripts
- Copy of your BC Medical Card
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of your status card (if applicable)
- CAT-4 Test Results (ALL students must write the CAT-4 Test prior to being admitted to the program)
