and the 'Canadian Heritage - Olympic Torch Relay Program'
Thank you to the Gitksan Wet'suwet'en Education Society / First Nations High School and the 'Department of Canadian Heritage' for sponsoring this "Follow the Dream" student driven web-site. This opportunity allowed us to explore web-design and html coding; as well as party planning impromptu celebrations in which many community members supported and joined us.
A special thank you goes to Marjorie McRae, Angie Olson, Patty Rubinato, Bonnie McCreery, Larry Skulsh, Kirsten Barnes, Chrissy Mowatt, Michelle Moore, Sharon Ness, Marie Smith, Jackie Green, Dave Lattie, Brad Sebastian, Mike Jack and Shane Mowatt for your invaluable 'expert' contributions as mentors, artisans, language and culture specialists, instructors, photographers and computer technicians. This project was allowed to grow/evolve in large part to your contributions.
We also wish to give a big thumbs up to all the students and youth participants. Without you, we would not have the memories of shared laughter and learning that resulted from this project. And there is still more to come... Join us February 18, 2010 as our "Follow the Dream" -- team emmissarys are planning another celebration to commemorate the Olympic games.
